Amitabha Buddhist Center was founded in 2003 by Geshe Kelsang Gyatso as a non-profit organization and member of the New Kadampa Tradition. It offers meditation classes and retreats throughout the Kansai area for all levels of interest and experience.

Amitabha Center is a member of The New Kadampa Tradition - International Buddhist Union which is a worldwide organisation of independently financed and run Buddhist meditation centers.

Classes

The General Program is tailored for anyone interested in the Buddhist way of life. These self-contained classes give a basic introduction to Buddhist philosophy, psychology and meditation.

The Foundation Program provides students with an opportunity to deepen their understanding and experience of Buddha's teachings. It consist of the systematic study of five essential subjects of Mahayana Buddhism based on commentaries by Geshe Kelsang Gyatso.

Amitabha Buddhist Center is a member of the New Kadampa Tradition of worldwide Buddhist Centers which offer classes and courses based on the teachings of Geshe Kelsang Gyatso.

Our aim is to provide a peaceful space for meditation and reflection, and to offer classes which show how to practise meditation and Buddhism in daily life.

As each center is financially independent we ask that you help Amitabha Center with your class fee.
